Why teach Art? 

We highly value Art and Design as a key part of the children’s entitlement to a broad and balanced curriculum. Art and Design provides the children with the opportunities to develop and extend skills and an opportunity to express their individual interests, thoughts and ideas. Pupils explore ideas and meanings through the study of the work of a range of diverse artists and craftspeople. They learn about the diverse roles and functions of art, craft and design in contemporary life, and in different times and cultures.
